The breakfast was one of the best I've had, featuring delicious local cakes, and the staff provided warm and attentive service. the room was dated and had issues with the shower which changed temperature too quickly. there were limited food options available outside regular meal times, making it difficult to find snacks during downtime.

Charming location adjacent to Isabel la Catolica Park.
My stay at the Parador de Gijon left much to be desired. The food was disappointingly bland, especially the evening meals that were poorly presented, leading me to dine elsewhere. the decor felt tired, and the hotel lacked the vibrant ambiance one would hope for from such a historic establishment.

It was just a strong match for a brief pause in Gijon with good value for price. The cleaning staff were fantastic and truly friendly, especially towards the kids. Consider asking for a room away from the common areas for less noise.
